Challenge doesn’t have to be scary
“Brace yourself” often precedes the word challenge–as if you have to anticipate the worst. But that’s not the case with Steffi. Like Baldwin said, “You challenge us in the most positive way that is just so motivating. I don't know how you do it without coming across as aggressive. You do it in such a nurturing, and peaceful, way.”
Steffi, although very proactive, is respectful of one’s limitations and boundaries. Her challenges inspire you to step out of your comfort zone at your own pace. Pushing won’t always work with everyone, after all.
“It is hard to change on your own”
The first step to getting better: identifying the things that are holding you back. Next step: getting the help that you need to go from Point A to Point B. For Baldwin, Steffi became the force that guided her to change and improve.
Steffi became Baldwin’s accountability partner who made sure that the latter didn't fall back to her comfort zone yet again. It was not an easy journey, for sure, but it became less scary when you have someone rooting for you.
The universe will give you good things when you’re ready for it
Steffi pulled the trigger, and Baldwin did the legwork in going from not really trusting herself to being more confident, intentional, and a doer. Good things followed.
Baldwin gained the courage to get her diploma, a thought that just lurked in the back of her mind for the longest time. She had more career opportunities, and she made amazing relationships with great people.
Most importantly, she started loving herself more. And isn’t that just the best thing ever?
