Toxic Relationship
Whether it's with a partner, friend, or relative - a toxic relationship is draining. It is a one-way ticket to self-loathing, resentment, and a myriad of other negative emotions. This is what Donna Nathan was experiencing when she came to Steffi.
“I thought that I had to stay there and try to fix it and work on it. But I had already done that. And I had done everything I possibly could. And there was no fixing it. There was no fixing him, I had to fix myself when hearing your talk about how I needed to love myself first and know myself first and just work on myself”, Donna expressed.
Admitting that the relationship is toxic is a brave start. But the hardest part of it was letting go, and choosing your welfare. It needs action, and Steffi helped spark that.
The Challenge of Letting Go
Steffi reminded Donna that she could leave the toxic relationship and that eventually, she’d heal. She could be better. She could be happy again! But everything will ultimately boil down to her decision and action.
After Donna’s sessions with Steffi, she started to recognize her autonomy in her life. She did something about the things in life that she can’t stand anymore–like her toxic relationship. She began her day with positive thoughts, did the things that she loves to do, and fell in love with herself again.
She finally let go of the thing that was weighing her down. And Steffi was happy to be part of that journey of self-love.
